As there is not much daylight permeating through, the intent was to make the space warmer for visitors. With its heritage listing we had to come up with creative ideas to illuminate the ceiling. RGBW skylights can alter the ambience throughout the day & also be changed for events. They were designed using different drivers enabling gradients for scene settings including Welcome to Country. The seamless integration of Casambi played a big role in the success of this and achieving colours and tones reminiscent of an outback Aussie sunset.

With the mix of timber curving in both directions we wanted to let the joinery look clean. We found a delicate balance between illuminating the product and the integration of backlighting the wall to provide accent lighting. Luminaires used include the Australian-made Symphony Lighting, made at ambience HQ and also the andro lighting range.
“this flagship store sets a new standard for the R.M.Williams business on a worldwide scale, uniting all of the core values that have allowed the brand to grow from national hero to global authority.”
