A Fresh Approach To Fresh Food Lighting At Box Hill Central

The fresh food lighting upgrade at Box Hill Central with Vicinity Centres was a case study in taking headaches off the plate and dishing up some next level lighting. ambience not only provided lighting design and supply, but we project managed the entire operation ourselves. This included arranging electrical install (with collaborators MPW Electrical – thanks Matt!), onsite commissioning and angling – and all this after customised fabrication of luminaires at our assembly and production facility in big bad Bundoora.

Site restrictions were a primary concern, so we utilised existing reticulation and locations (which also helped the budget). This approach saw us design and manufactured bespoke sky lights to create a dynamic false illuminated ceiling, integrated within a control system. But the food is the hero here, not us. So, to bring the produce to life we optimised luminaires with the unique Andro Fresh Food specific LED modules to help them pack an absolute punch and look enticing – the results from clientele speaks for itself.
