Andro Lighting Range Wins At The 2021 Good Design Awards For Product Design

The Good Design Awards are the highest honour for design and innovation in the country and reward projects across 12 design disciplines and 30 subcategories.

And in some thoroughly awesome news – The Andro Project received a prestigious Good Design Award Winner Accolade in the Product Design category in recognition for outstanding design and innovation. A huge effort and a fantastic reward for the development the ambience team has put into andro over the last 24 months.

The Andro Project is quite an original approach and takes two forms in that it’s a commercial lighting product and a lighting design strategy that bit by bit designs and engineers lighting projects and product lifecycles based around the circular economy.

The Good Design Awards Jury commented:

“A wonderful example of a business taking responsibility more broadly for its impact and working to develop a cradle-to-cradle approach. It’s great to see the built-in obsolescence of light materials being addressed in this way. There are some good examples of a range of different impacts this design is already having, that will likely continue in to the future. The Australian Good Design Awards is the country’s oldest and most prestigious international award for design and innovation with a proud history dating back to 1958.
