Andro Lighting Range Is Made To Make A Difference

Whether it’s your space or your footprint, the andro series is locally designed with ideas in mind.
Designed and developed here by ambience at our Melbourne HQ, the andro luminaire family is a marriage of masculine and feminine characteristics into the one perfectly-engineered, harmonious and ambiguous form.
One of the best bits about andro is discarded light and metal waste going in, and the andro luminaire coming out.
The packaging is made from recycled material with no crappy plastic – we also endeavoured to design a box that people could also re-use. The andro tracklight has already had been used to help T2 create their first ever 5-Star Green Star store at Bondi Junction!
- Using recycled aluminium (re-purposed light fittings).
- It is designed to be re-purposed at the end of its life.
- The technical characteristics of the light are designed to get the most light for power consumed reducing the amount of fittings required in a space.
There is no plastic in the packaging.
The packaging is fully recycled.
The boxes are fully recycled and are designed to be re-purposed or recycled.
Andro is firstly designed to be re-purposed at the end of their lifecycle and not go to landfill. The use of recycled aluminium for the fittings helps in 95% energy saving.
This means consume 5% of original power/electricity that would be used if manufacturing andro using prime aluminium. Both new scrap (scrap that has never left the factory) and old scrap obtained from the lighting waste is used in its production.
