THINKING BIG FOR THE LITTLE GROUP

Accuracy and precision were the keys, as we were tasked by Mim Design to consult on the lighting design for the interior of the Little Group.
A feature of the entry is the brushed brass pendant pipe lights of decreasing length that form a semi-circle. First, to produce these, our Luminaire Designer Liam designed a ceiling plate for the tubes.
The plate included air holes in the top to allow the LED light source to breathe. The air holes also permitted light leak that created a halo on the ceiling, becoming a key feature.
When producing the fittings, we had to consider the various lengths of the fittings to realise the full concept and to also illuminate evenly. It was critical that every length was accurate to ensure the overall curve of the fitting was key.
This sophisticated and stunning design job was recently featured on the cover Inside Design magazine with it, fittingly described as a ‘personal yet timeless workplace environment’.
