LOR
The percentage of light emitted from the light source that makes it out of the luminaire.
WATT
Power consumed by the light source, that’s what.
LUMENS
The light output from a light source is measured in lumens.
COLOUR RENDERING (CRI)
The way the lightsource represents colours and finishes i.e 95 CRI (A razzle dazzle new colour rating system TM-30-15 is also now in the works).
EFFICACY
Just as a car’s efficiency is measured in kilometres per litre or tank, light efficacy is measured in lumens per watt.
LUX
The light measured at a specific point is known as lux.
BEAM ANGLE
The angle in which the light is distributed from a fitting (affects lux on surface).
COLOUR TEMP (CCT)
The colour that’s visable from the light source i.e warm white, cool white.
