We’re Hiring: Senior Architectural Lighting Designer in Melbourne

Equal parts technical + creative we are looking for an experienced senior architectural lighting designer at our Melbourne HQ.

We’re after a special kind of senior architectural lighting designer. One that is creatively curious about lighting, who has good presentation skills, is excellent at client liaison and has a knowledge of lighting products and concepts that enables them to effectively communicate designs/specifications. You could be a lighting designer forward slash engineer or maybe a /industrial designer/pony riding enthusiast kind of person. But at the core of your thinking is ideas and how to apply them to architectural spaces.

A little bit more about you

Equal parts technical + creative you are a mid-level architectural lighting designer who:

• Performs lighting layouts in CAD
• Has experience using Dialux
• Has hotels, hospitality + retail experience
• Excellent communication (and ability to explain product/luminaire choices)
• Adobe Suite experience
• Has done rather good stuff
• Likes rather good stuff
• Oh, and very confident in presenting and liaising with clients
• Has good Spotify playlists

A bit more about the role

You will be working across a suite of architectural lighting spaces, including retail, hospitality, and workspace. And the occasional light art project for the heck of it. You’ll be collaborating with Australia’s brightest and best designers and architects on projects nationally and maybe one or two internationally.
